Mildred Ida Moen, 92, of Black Hammer Township, Houston County, Minn., passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013.

She was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Caledonia to Fred and Louise (Gstalter) Kruckow.

On Sept. 5, 1953, she married Stanley Moen at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Caledonia, and together they lived and farmed on the family farm in Black Hammer Township, rural Spring Grove. Stanley preceded Mildred in death on Jan. 1, 2000.

Survivors include her children, Christine (Tom) Kraus of Bangor, Wis., and David and Carlyn Moen, both of Black Hammer, Minn.; a grandson, Joseph B. Picataci, Jr. (Diane Danielson); three great-grandchildren, Alex, Lilli and Emilie Picataci; sisters and brothers, Lavern Kruckow of Caledonia, Arnold (Eleanor) Kruckow of Caledonia, Violet Gaustad of Houston, Marlen (Maxine) Kruckow of Houston, Wilma Wiebke of Caledonia, Dorothy Houlihan of Caledonia, Harold (Judy) Kruckow of Houston, and Lyle (Mavis) Kruckow of Hokah; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers-in-law, LuVern Wiebke, Lloyd Gaustad and Howard Houlihan; and two nephews.

Funeral services were March 16 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Caledonia. Rev. Jon Wolff officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
