Ruth Marie Hahn, 89, of Spring Grove died Wednesday Aug. 13, 2014, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wis.
She was born March 26, 1925, in La Crosse to Henry and Matilda (Schaffer) Woehlke. She was baptized May 3, 1925, and confirmed May 28, 1939, at the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Hokah.
She graduated from Houston High School in June of 1943. In June of 1943 Ruth married Clifton (Kim) Hahn. The couple farmed in the Yucatan area for 43 years. After her husband’s death she moved to Spring Grove.
Ruth worked for many years in factories, where she met and enjoyed her co-workers, some of which became like family to her. She was active in the Cross of Christ Church Ladies Aid, She also enjoyed helping family and friends.
After retiring, she enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Citizens Center in Spring Grove.
The pride of her life was her daughter, Peggy and son-in-law, Steve Landsom and their three children, Matthew, Amanda and Stephanie and soon-to-be grandson-in-law, Frank Renzoni; two nieces, Barb Bissen and Vicki Leeper; and two nephews, Gary and Dave Wermerskirchen.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Walt Boening; her niece Jo Ann Harris; her brother-in-law Lyle Hahn and her brother and sister-in-law, Pat and Norbert Wermerskirchen.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial was in the Stone Church Cemetery of Houston.
Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove assisted the family with arrangements.
