The Houston County Holstein Club held its annual Youth Dairy Auction on Aug. 17 during the Houston County Fair. A total of $14,850 was raised by selling eight quarts of milk and many generous donations.

Hannah Hendel received 10 percent of the money for exhibiting the Supreme Champion 4-H cow.

Paul Johnson received 5 percent of the auction money for exhibiting the Reserve Supreme Champion cow.

Five percent was placed in a dairy fund and 80 percent was divided equally among the blue ribbon exhibitors of which each 4-Her received over $350.
