The 16-year-old will play the piano selection, "Serenata de Siero" by Mary Leaf before a music critic and receive oral and written evaluations of her performance.
Those chosen as the best-prepared students will be selected to perform in one of three recitals. There are two student recitals at 4:30 p.m. and an honor recital at 7 p.m. in Jenson-Nobel Hall of Music. The recitals are free and open to the public.
Students in grade 6 and up are eligible to participate in the festival. This is the third year that Elizabeth has taken part. She studies piano with Rose Weichert of Caledonia.
