Hans Mayer will be performing at the Tweeten Lutheran Health Care Center on Saturday, April 12, at 1:30 p.m., to kick off the Week of the Young Child celebration in Spring Grove.
Mayer has brought his ear-tickling music to the Spring Grove area in the past when he performed at the Spring Grove Public Library.
People of all ages are immediately attracted to his playful, fun-loving personality and his magical, memorable songs that stimulate imaginations while building self-esteem.
Singing and playing guitar, mandolin and Native American flute - even adding sound effects when the songs call for it - Mayer has enchanted audiences across the east coast, midwest and most recently the northwest. He has recorded seven albums, which are a hit with the children as well as the parents.
Tickets can be purchased at the door- children ages 2 to 12 are $2 each and adult tickets are $3 person.
The Week of the Young Child is April 13 to 19 and is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The purpose of this special week is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Celebrate young children and those who care and educate them by attending the concert.
This event is sponsored by the ECFE/SR programs, ISD No. 297 and the Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare Center. Funding assistance for the event has been provided by the Spring Grove Commercial Club.
