Area youth and adults are invited to attend the "100 Wells Tour" on Friday, Oct. 26 at Central Lutheran Church in Winona.

The "100 Wells Tour" features the 2012 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America national youth gathering artists of AGAPE, Lost And Found and Rachel Kurtz.

The Trinity Lutheran Church senior high youth that attended the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering this past July have seen and heard all these artists - each have a unique style of music!

A group of Trinity youth will be attending the concert that evening, but the event is open to denominations of all faiths and beliefs.

The concert is at Central Lutheran Church in Winona and starts at 7:30 p.m., the doors open at 7 pm. This concert is FREE to attend, and there will be a free-will offering to help support ELCA World Hunger in raising money for water wells. Their goal is to raise $2,500 at this concert - this will build one water well.

The 100 Wells Challenge is a project of ELCA World Hunger and was to initially raise $250,000 to support water projects around the globe. The challenge has already raised over $400,000. They are continuing to raise money to better support the cause.

If that date doesn't work, Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, is hosting the event the following evening at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.

The concert has a $15 general admission fee at the Decorah location with a group rate of $12 per person for groups of 10 or more.

All proceeds will benefit the 100 Wells Challenge and the ELCA Malaria Campaign.
