The boys' varsity and JV teams headed to Winona for matches with Cotter on Tuesday. The varsity squad came up short 7-3, while the JV team fell 5-0.

"This was a good game full of lots of excitement," Coach Dustin Moburg said of the varsity event. "Both teams played very well. Both teams had some beautiful shots. Unfortunately for us, more of Cotter's shots went in than ours."

C/SG/H ran up its highest shot count of the year, launching 45 attempts. Devin Schiltz scored twice while Alex Marschall got the other Warrior goal.

Caledonia goaltender Nick Strabley had 19 saves.

Senior Caleb Forst scored five times for the Ramblers.

Marschall and Josh Nord each scored two goals, leading the Warriors past Saint Charles 4-3 the following night.

Strabley was in goal for the first half, while Alex Smith and Henry Russert shared goaltending duties during the second period.

"Covering for each other, man marking, and working for an open pass still need improving," Moburg noted. "With that said, it still felt good to get a win."
