Just after it began, the regular season for the Caledonia/Spring Grove track and field teams comes to a close this Saturday, May 11, with the Three Rivers Conference Meet at Plainview. One forecast calls for 40 percent chance of rain and a high temperature of 54 degrees.

According to the current schedule, the Warrior thinclads will then have 12 days of preparation before the post season begins with the sub-section meet at Winona on Thursday, May 23.

Those that qualify will then advance to the Section 1A Championships on May 28 and 30 back in Winona.

The state meet is again at Hamline University in St. Paul on June 7 and 8.

This season thus far has almost been a non-season, greatly lost to weather including last Friday's snowed-out meet.

A meet hosted by Rushford-Peterson/Houston was postponed twice before finally taking place.
