The Caledonia/Spring Grove/ Houston gymnastics team visited Byron/Lourdes for a dual meet on Dec. 18. Team varsity scores totaled 129.6 for the hosting Bears and 116.05 for the Warriors.

On vault, Tara Solberg scored 8.425. Teammate Sierra Hunter earned 8.375. Abby Hoskins took 8.325 while Kaylee Cavanaugh got 8.30 points.

The event was won by Emma Jensen and Annika Carlson of Byron/Lourdes who edged the competition by scoring an identical 8.475 points.

Parallel bars included varsity scores by Hunter (7.325), Skylar Schoh (7.00), Solberg (6.325) and Hoskins (5.425). Carlson won the event at 7.75.

Balance beam had five Warrior entrants. Cavanaugh led the team with 7.50 points followed by Hunter at 7.05, Emily Hahn at 5.725, Hoskins at 5.675 and Solberg at 5.475 points. Carlson took first with 8.325.

The floor routine found Cavanaugh earning 8.15 points, Hunter (8.10), Solberg (7.625), Hoskins (6.725) and Hahn (6.675). The highest score went to Carlson with 8.80.

All-Around Gymnast totals included Hunter with 30.85 points, Solberg with 27.85 and Hoskins at 26.15. Carlson was first with 33.35.

The Bears totaled 113.8 on JV events while the Warriors scored 60.45. Some individual scores from the Warriors included a 7.0 from Hahn on vault along with 6.3 by Cayla Schleich and 6.05 by Alissa Peterson.

Hahn took 4.9 points on bars with 4.1 from Schultz and 3.8 from Peterson.

On beam, Peterson recorded a 5.7 while Schleich was 3.9, Claire Bratland took 2.9 and Mikki Boyd 2.4.

Floor scores were 5.0 for Becca Roble, 4.2 for Vendela Parker and 3.8 for Haley Holty. There were no all-around JV scores for the warriors.
