Spring Grove senior Blaine Storlie
Spring Grove senior Blaine Storlie has been named Academic All-State by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association.

Among the 298 Class A and Class AA teams, Storlie is one of only 27 players to receive this prestigious recognition.

Criteria includes being a senior starter with at least a 3.5 grade point average, cumulative including the sophomore and junior years plus the first semester of the senior season. And a player must not have received a Minnesota State High School eligibility penalty during his high school career.

Storlie, also the current president of the student council, is a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball.

This is the second straight season a Lion boy has been so honored with Aric Elton recognized in 2012.
