Farmers Co-op ladies take tourney title

Team Event winners – Farmers Co-op with a 3333 – included, left to right, Gina Schroeder, Kris Houdek, Kim Bauer, Sue Schwebach and Kathy Houdek.
The Caledonia Women's Association Bowling Tournament was held Jan. 28 - 29 at Starlite Lanes in Caledonia.
The league formed in the mid-'70s, and Lynn Reburn has served as the tournament director for the past 10 years. This year's tournament had eight teams, 18 doubles and 36 singles participating.
They results were as follows:
Singles Scratch - Dawn Dunbar with a 627
Singles Handicap - Wilma Torgerson with a 708
Doubles Scratch and Handicap - Keeli Ward & Joni Voshart with a 1060 & 1360 respectively
Team Event - Farmers Co-op with a 3333. Team members included Kim Bauer, Kathy Houdek, Kris Houdek, Gina Schroeder and Sue Schwebach.
All Events Scratch - Dawn Dunbar with a 1757
All Events Handicap - Joni Voshart with a 2092
Winning the Marie Albert Award for most pins bowled over average for a single game were Joanne Schulze and Chris Weber. They both had an average of 144, and both bowled a 217 for 73 pins over average.
