'Invasive' species coming to Spring Grove this month
Tuesday, September 25, 2012 5:20 AM
An "invasive" species is heading to Spring Grove... those sneaky flamingos will soon be appearing in yards across Spring Grove. A flock of flamingos will invade various yards in the dark of night and linger for 24 hours unless relocated by calling 498-PINK (498-7465).
The Spring Grove Commercial Club will be flocking yards with flamingos in the city limits of Spring Grove throughout the month of October as a fundraiser for the club. Call 498-PINK to flock your friends with a minimum $25 donation.
In addition, 40 percent of the proceeds will go to area breast cancer agencies, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Flamingos will stay in your yard for 24 hours unless you call and donate to move them to someone else's yard.
Bring your donation to the Spring Grove Communications office or the Spring Grove Herald, or mail it to Commercial Club, PO Box 22, Spring Grove, MN 55974.
