The Tomah Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center will take part in the 15th annual La Crosse Veterans Stand Down on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the American Legion Post 52, 711 S. 6th St., La Crosse, Wis., from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

All veterans (including those from Houston County) are welcome to attend. Service providers will be onsite to assist with:

• VA Benefits - County Veterans Service Officers

• VA Healthcare - free flu shots, health screen, enrollment/eligibility information

• Social Security

• La Crosse County Office on Aging

• La Crosse County Disability Resource Center

• Vet Center

• Legal, Financial Consultation

• Homeless Veteran Housing, Shelter Referrals, Clothing

• Female Veterans Representative

• VA Treatment Program Information: PTSD, Substance Abuse, Transitional Residence

• Veterans Service Organizations

• Agent Orange/Gulf War Information

• VA Palliative Care

• Lunch/snacks provided
