"You'll be working your own accident." These words were spoken to her two months before her accident, Spring Grove native Jane Bjerke explains in her true-life story.

Jan. 15, 2007, is a day Bjerke's son, Joshua, and she will never forget as they were in a head-on collision on Highway 52.

Hear her story, "Miracle on Hwy. 52" on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Norskedalen Heritage Center at Coon Valley, Wis., at 2 p.m.

"The depth I walked with the Lord, and my spiritual talk with my son as we said our goodbyes in my near-death experience, is my most treasured moment," Bjerke explained. "Our lives have been changed forever."

God's hand in the accident and the recovery has been amazing.

"One year later, we would be celebrating a 10-year-old boy's survival from a sledding accident. God put us right where we needed to be north of where our accident took place to help save Joseph's life.

"The morning before we came upon his accident, after my morning prayer, I asked my husband to throw my medical bag into my van. It had been in storage ever since my accident because I was still recovering.

"God supplied the medical tools I needed to help save Joseph's life. When Joseph said to his dad, 'Dad if I don't make it, tell Mom I love her.'

"It brought me right back to Joshua and me saying our goodbyes in our accident. In our accident the message from God was to come back and tell everybody, 'It's all about love.'"
