Bloodmobile coming to Spring Grove on Jan. 17

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit the Spring Grove community on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Fest Building, 110 N. Division Ave., from 1 to 7 p.m.

Why donate blood?
Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood.
On an average day, 38,000 units of red blood cells are needed.
There is no substitute for blood.
Only 5 percent of the eligible population donated blood.
Most donors donate 1.5 times a year.
You never know when you, a loved one or a friend will need blood. Blood must be available before it is needed.
Who is eligible to donate?
A person in good health;
17 years of age (there is no upper age limit);
Weight - at least 110 pounds (minimum weight may vary in some facilities); and
Pass the physical and health exams given prior to donation.
Sixteen-year-olds are eligible to donate with signed ARC Consent Form. Individuals with tattoos are eligible to donate under certain circumstances. Stop by and find out!
