Bloodmobile to be in Spring Grove on Oct. 16

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, a Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Fest Building in Spring Grove from 1 to 7 p.m.

Why donate blood?
Every two seconds, someone in American needs blood.
On an average day, 38,000 units of red blood cells are needed.
There is no substitute for blood.
Only 5 percent of the eligible population donated blood.
Most donors donate 1.5 times a year.
You never know when you, a loved one or a friend will need blood. Blood must be available before it is needed.
Who is eligible to donate?
A person in good health;
17 years of age (there is no upper age limit);
Weight at least 110 pounds (minimum weight may vary in some facilities); and
Pass the physical and health examinations given prior to donation.
Sixteen year olds are eligible to donate with signed ARC Consent Form. A new MN State Law allows individuals with tattoos to donate under certain circumstances- you may be eligible to donate. Stop by and find out!
