Castle walls, a throne room, flags, banners, stained glass windows and a banquet hall with colorful ceiling draping were all a part of the setting for Kingdom Rock Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Calvary Free Church in Spring Grove this past week.

The children entered by way of a drawbridge over the castle moat through the portcullis (which was a simulated grille of iron suspended in the gateway of a fortified place for protection).

They enjoyed a week of interactive activities - discovering how to stand strong for God. The elementary kids traveled in combined-age crews with big kids and little kids working together and moving from station to station.

Stations included: Epic Bible Adventures, Imagination Station, Chadder's Royal Theatre, The King's Kitchen and Tournament Games.

Truman the Bulldog, Duke the Horse, Swift the Falcon, Sir Valiant the Lion and Victoria the Fox were all Bible Memory Buddies who spurred the kids on to remember the Bible points for the day.

The week was a highlight in the lives of the kids who came and kids and adults alike had a great week together.
