La Crescent Neighbors in Action is hosting a musical fund-raising event called the "GI Jukebox" to support its program and honor area veterans.

It will be held at the La Crescent High School Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. ($20 includes dessert at intermission) or Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. ($15). Tickets are reserved seating.

This patriotic musical revue combines comedy, dance and music reminiscent of the USO shows offered to World War II troops. The program will feature some of the best local talent as well as a tribute to local servicemen.

The sentimental wartime songs include favorites originally sung by the Andrew Sisters and Bob Hope. "In The Mood", "I'll Be Seeing You", "Cocktails for Two" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" are just a few of the songs in this fabulous score.
