The Jim Busta Band with Mollie B will return for an encore performance at Spring Grove's Music-in-the-Park series on July 24. Food is by the Spring Grove Lions Club.

Next week, the series is scheduled to end on July 31 with Bryon Stein, a new act for the venue. He plays a little bit of everything from Johnny Cash to Kid Rock. Food will be by the Spring Grove Commercial Club.

The SG EDA (economic development authority) as expressed interest in continuing the series through the end of August with more bands. The board was scheduled to meet on July 23 to discuss the sponsorship. Watch next week's Herald for the results of that discussion.

Music-In-The-Park takes place in the gazebo in Viking Memorial Park. Each week, the event will try to be held at the park.

The back-up location is the Fest Building. As always, food begins at 6 p.m., and the music commences at 6:30 p.m. finishing by 8 p.m.

There are many benches and picnic tables, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.

In addition, don't forget that each week at 6 p.m., the Spring Grove EDA will be holding its Detour Dollars drawing for three winners!

The Music-In-The-Park series wouldn't be possible without the financial support of the Spring Grove Commercial Club, Spring Grove American Legion Auxiliary, Spring Grove Lions Club, the City of Spring Grove and Merchants Bank of Spring Grove.
