Lent is a time to re-evaluate and re-focus one's life. One great way to accomplish this is through studying the Bible. For six Saturdays in Lent, Pastor Leonard Liptack from Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer will be offering the class "Bible 101".

This class is open to the public and will cover the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, focusing on the flow of the narrative, the unity between the Old and New Testaments, and the recurring themes throughout scripture.

Classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the basement conference room of the Spring Grove Communications Building next to the library.

The first class begins on Saturday, Feb. 16. To register, contact Pastor Liptack at (507) 498-5154 or email pastorliptack@hotmail.com. The registration fee for all six classes will be $50.

Participants will receive a bible resource binder along with a book, the "Bible Reading Survival Guide" by Pastor Liptack.
