Road work in front of the school is not yet complete, although it was hoped that it would be by the beginning of the school year. Progress is being made; this week work was done on sidewalks and the stone wall near the school.

The latest update from the Minnesota DOT included these projects being completed the week ending Aug. 30 in Spring Grove: Removal of contaminated material east of Division Avenue, sanitary sewer and water main work from 1st Avenue NE to 2nd Avenue NE, curb and gutter from 1st Avenue SW to 3rd Avenue NW, stone retaining wall construction by the school, grading for sidewalks.

Plans for construction next week in Spring Grove include grading and setting forms for sidewalks, pouring light bases, and water main and storm sewer work from 1st Avenue NE to 2nd Avenue NE.

Construction west of Spring Grove on Highway 44 to Highway 52 will include resurfacing, with flaggers and a pilot car controlling the single lane of traffic.
