Snowmobiles could be heard all around the countryside as kids and some adults enjoyed a snow day on Friday. Spring Grove missed the brunt of the blizzard, receiving 5 to 6 inches from Thursday night through Friday morning.

It appears that the Groundhog may have been a bit off on his prediction of an early spring, so now the question is will March come in like a Lion or a Lamb?
The National Weather Service is forecasting that for Thursday night through Monday surface high pressure is in control, providing the Upper Mississippi River Valley with dry and quiet conditions. Temperatures through the weekend will be right around normal, which are daytime highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s and nighttime temps dipping into the teens.
