The Bluff Country Artists Gallery kicked off its "Local Art Contest" with an open house back in September, giving the community and artists the opportunity to check out the local talent and vote for their favorite artist.

Art from the selected artists is on display and voting will remain open through Wednesday, Oct. 31.

All votes will then be tallied, and an announcement will be made in November of which art will remain in the gallery.

To vote for one of these finalists, stop by in person at the gallery at 111 W. Main St. in downtown Spring Grove during normal business hours:

• Lauren Anderson of Decorah, Iowa - Acrylic Collage;

• David Erchoff-Costet of Spring Grove - Photography;

• Julie Erchoff-Costet of Spring Grove - Watercolor;

• Darin Feil of Caledonia - Graphite;

• Beth Fossum of Mabel - Concrete;

• Gary Friemann of Spring Grove - Turned Wood;

• Sylvan Hauser of Spring Grove - Oil;

• George Moe of Caledonia - Woodworking;

• Sarah (Holland) Schroeder of Spring Grove - Jewelry;

"So much talent surrounds us - please stop in and see for yourself," a gallery spokesperson said.
