On Sunday, March 10, as part of the 10 a.m. worship service, St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen, invites the public to attend "Why Me, Lord?" with musician John Bernadot.

St. Luke's is the red brick church located on Minnesota State Hwy. 76 at the Iowa border. For more information, call (507) 495-3356.

A free-will offering will be taken.

Bernadot will sing of God's miracles. He came from Dakota, Minn., but his musical talents sent him performing across the nation. His career spans over five decades and has included opening shows for the Beach Boys, Conway Twitty, The Everly Brothers, The Coasters, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Sandy Posey and The Ventures.

A close brush with death in 2000 changed the purpose of his life. Severe head injuries led to surgery and a stroke. Parts of his brain had to be removed.

Yet, through this terrible time and his struggle to recover, John Bernadot came to realize God had a call on his life.

He now uses his music to share his experience and the power of Jesus Christ to change lives and the world.

"Earlier, my life had no direction, but now I feel the power of Jesus' love guiding me. This is the message I share as I journey on the paths God lays out before me."
