Ann Simenson, 77, mother of Wykoff residents

Ann Paige Simenson, 77, of Chatfield, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus in Rochester.
She was born June 26, 1936, in Decorah, Iowa, to Norman and Jennie (Robinson) Indvick.
She attended school in Decorah and graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1954.
She then worked for Prudential Insurance in Minneapolis and Travelers Insurance in Rochester.
On Oct. 12, 1960, she married Gary Allan Simenson in Rochester. She worked for many years as a ceramics teacher.
She had many interests like walleye fishing, playing bridge, reading and going to casinos.
She loved people. During the years of raising her family, the Simenson house was the center of activity. From being involved as a Cub Scout leader to fixing meals for the extended family, her love of family and people showed through.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gary of Chatfield; three daughters, Cindy Feeser of Chester, Lori (Steve) Winter of Wykoff and Shari (Joe) Fischer of Rochester; two sons, Jody of Chatfield and Jon (Maria) of Wykoff; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, David (Myrna) Indvick of Cotter, Ark.
A memorial service was held Thursday, May 1, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with the Rev. Preston Paul officiating. A private family committal is being planned.
Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
