Brian T. Boelter, 45, of Spring Valley, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at his home.

He was born on June 10, 1968, to Gary and Lois (Capelle) Boelter in Rochester.

In 1986, he graduated from Spring Valley High School. He attended four years of college and graduated from Mankato State with a business degree.

He held various jobs in management and sales.

On May 14, 1994, he was united in marriage to Kim Akers. They were later divorced. Together they had two daughters, Kaylee, 16, and Ashlee, 13.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on old cars.

He is survived by his daughters, Kaylee and Ashlee Boelter of Spirit Lake, Iowa; parents, Gary and Lois Boelter of Spring Valley; siblings, Brett (Krista) Boelter of Zumbrota, Denise (Eric "Ric") Root of St. Charles and Lisa (Jason) Johnson of White Bear Lake; nieces and nephews, Caden Boelter, Brekken Boelter, Lindsey Root, Tyler Root, Linnea Johnson, Treyton Lanning, Maddex Lanning, Hadlee Lanning, Reeyin Lanning, Kendall Halbakken, Mesa O'Byrne and Sedona O'Byrne.

He is preceded in death by his nephew, Carsten Boelter.

Funeral services were held last Friday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley, with the Rev. Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial followed at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.

Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley assisted the family with the arrangements.
