Lois Hill, 80, stepmother of Wykoff resident

Lois Elaine Hill, 80, of Rochester, formerly of Eyota, died peacefully in the company of her loving family on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at her home.
She was born July 12, 1933, to Henry and Ruth (Rausch) Wraalstad.
She graduated from Plainview High School in 1950.
She married James Laqua on June 21, 1952, and they raised seven children. He preceded her in death in January 1976. She married her second husband, George Hill, Sept. 6, 1995. He preceded her in death in October 2009.
She worked in the service industry for the Kahler Corporation for 38 years before her retirement in 1997.
She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and gardening. She loved to spend time with family and friends, enjoyed her friends in her card club and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota.
She is survived by three sons, Gary of Hastings, Terry of Dexter and Larry of Dassel; four daughters, Patricia (Neil) Olson of Pequot Lakes, Jeanine Hatch of Rochester, Diane (Denny) Murray of Byron and Norma Larson of Rochester; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Jen, Lisa, Jacob, Summer, Cole and Eric; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Eliza; one stepson, Craig (Karla) Hill of Wykoff; two stepdaughters, Melinda (David) Kuenstler of Big Lake and Beth (Brandon) Putney of Stoughton, Wis.; eight step-grandchildren, Bailey, Shelby, Sheridan, Hannah, Luke, Megan, Kadin and Brennan; one sister, Joyce Schultz of California.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, the Rev. Orlin Wralstaad.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, April 23, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota, with the Rev. Jonathan Vollrath officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
