Olive Loucks, 91, native of Spring Valley

Olive Marion Loucks, 91, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Dec. 5, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark. Born April 4, 1921, in Spring Valley, Minn., she was the daughter of Elmer Bender and Clarissa Smith Bender.
She moved to Arkansas in 1964 from Minnesota. She was the owner/operator of Arkoma Trailer Park near Siloam Springs and also owned a gift shop. She was a wood carver and was invited by Blanche Elliott to show at War Eagle. She was a member of The Farmer's Grange and was a volunteer at the Manna Center.
On Oct. 1, 1940, she married George Loucks in Preston. Olive was a member of First Christian Church, Siloam Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Cecil and Warren Bender; one sister, Iris Lundy; one son, Terry Loucks; and one daughter, Cheryl Jean Loucks.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Heggen of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Gail Loucks, Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
