Patricia Lee Smith, 68, of Fifty Lakes, Minn., died Aug. 21, 2013, at her lakeside home.

Patricia Lee Weis was born on April 6, 1945, to Viola and Leo Weis in Rochester. Her father was killed in action during World War II. Her mother later married Willard Jahn. Pat graduated from Spring Valley High School and married Ron Smith, her high school sweetheart. They were married for 50 years.

Together Ron and Pat raised three girls and owned and operated a business prior to retiring to their lakeside home in Fifty Lakes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to being a talented seamstress, she also enjoyed watercolor painting and stamping.

She was an active member of Cross Lake Lutheran Church, the Crosslake art club, and stamping group.

She is survived by Ron, her husband of 50 years, her three daughters, Christine (Darren), Diane (Jim) and Melissa (Troy), and seven grandchildren, Claire and Mia, Jacob and John, Zachery, Kaitlan, and Allison. She is also survived by three sisters, Kaye of Sun City West, Ariz., Charlotte of Spring Valley, and Barbara of Rochester.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola and Willard Jahn and Leo Weis.

Funeral services and visitation will be Sept 6. Visitation is at 11 a.m. and the funeral is at noon with a luncheon following at Crosslake Lutheran Church, 35960 County Road 66, Crosslake, Minn., (218) 692-3682.
