Paula Anne (Larson) Jacobson, 90, formerly of Spring Valley and Rochester, died in Lakeville on April 30, 2014.

She was born in Spring Valley on April 21, 1924, to Paul and Mary Larson.

She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1943 and received an X-ray technician degree from Fairview Hospital in 1944.

She married Merle E. Jacobson on Oct. 27, 1946. They resided in the Spring Valley area for many years where they farmed, owned the Five J's campground and started Jacobson Plumbing and Heating.

From 1963 to 1981, she worked at the Rochester State Hospital as an X-ray tech. In 1994, she and her husband retired and moved to Rochester. She was an avid gardener, a great baker and loved to play bridge. She also loved to share these hobbies with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Jeremy Sr. (Susan) of Kasson, Jeffrey (Teresa) of Wabasha and Jamie (Denise) of Lakeville; seven grandchildren, Jodi, Jenny (Travis), Jeremy Jr. (Tina), Jason (Trisha), Joy, Jazmin and Noel; and great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Tyler and Jada.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Burial took place at Spring Valley Cemetery.

Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester assisted the family with the funeral arrangements.
