Richard Owen Bremseth, 80, of Simpson, Minn., died at his home on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Bremseth was born June 3, 1932, in rural Preston, to Casper and Cora Bremseth. He grew up in Fillmore County and farmed in Chatfield in the 1960s. He moved to Spring Val-ley in 1968 and started J & B Builders. He lived in rural Stew-artville before settling in Simpson in 1984.
He is survived by his lifelong best friend, Jim Johnson; three sisters, Freda Lobland of Rochester, Martha Vogen of Stewart-ville and Ovedia Bakken of Wykoff; one brother-in-law, Clay-ton Sorenson of Austin; and 52 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and eight sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 8, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, with the Revs. Dennis Tim-merman and Laura Fladten officiating.
