A Bike Safety Rodeo and a Farm to Fork Fun Fest for preschool and students to third grade are scheduled for Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kingsland school in Spring Valley.

The bicycle event open to beginning bike riders through third grade will be located in the event parking lot. The activity will prepare young bicycle riders for on-the-road biking. It is organized by State Farm Insurance, the Spring Valley Kiwanis Club and Kingsland Community Education.

The event is free of charge, as is the Farm to Fork Fun Fest, which will be held in the Kingsland Cafe.

The Farm to Fork Fun Fest is geared to families with young children, but older siblings are invited as well. Participants will learn where food comes from, discover ideas for a summer garden project and learn about composting, raising chickens and tractor safety. The children will also plant an edible Mother's Day gift and hold baby farm animals, courtesy of FFA students.
