sets logo design contest

The new Spring Valley Area Community Foundation is holding a contest to design the logo for the philanthropic organization.
A prize of $100 in Spring Valley Money is being offered to the winner of the contest. The contest is open to any area resident or former resident with ties to the communities of Spring Valley, Wykoff and Ostrander or the surrounding area, which is the service area of the new foundation.
The object of the contest is to design a logo that will be used on marketing and informational materials for the local organization.
Entries should be submitted on an 8-1/2 by 11-inch sheet of paper or electronically in pdf format. They are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 31.
Entries can be submitted: In person to Spring Valley City Hall; by mail to SVACF, 201 S. Broadway Ave., Spring Valley, MN 55975; or as an attachment by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Persons making submissions should include their name, address and phone number with each entry.
The entry should be suitable for reproduction in color as well as black and white. The components should be of original artwork or design.
