The ever-threatening rain moved the first Spring Valley Music in the Park series indoors Sunday to the Spring Valley Community Center. A crowd of more than 200 people filled the center to see Brad Boice, as Elvis, the featured performer in a concert sponsored by the Spring Valley Area Community Foundation.

The picnic also moved indoors as hot dogs, chips and watermelon were served to raise funds for playground equipment in the Spring Creek Park, the location where the concerts are usually held. This is the second year of the series, but the first time it was moved inside as last year was relatively dry. Next week, Uncle Frank & the Kids are set to play in the new gazebo in the park.
