Four people were injured Tuesday about 11 a.m. on Highway 63 when a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle turning onto Sunshine Street on the north side of Spring Valley.

A car driven by Amanda Le Johnson, 32, of Preston, was traveling north on Highway 63 when it stopped to make a left turn onto Sunshine Street. A car driven by Megan Mensink, 26, of Preston, also driving north on Highway 63, hit the stopped car.

Johnson and three youth in her car were injured, all non-life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The three are Tyreace Derry, 13, Parker Johnson, 7, and Easton Johnson, an infant. They were treated at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Mensink had no apparent injuries.

The road was blocked for nearly an hour as traffic was rerouted up Section Avenue and over to Tracy Road. The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Spring Valley Fire Department and Spring Valley Ambulance were all on the scene. All people involved were wearing seat belts.
