Spring Valley Public Library would like to invite adults of all ages to participate in the Hot Reads for Cold Nights annual adult reading program that will be held Feb. 4 through March 15.

Don't let the snow and cold get you down. Snuggle in with a good book or a DVD and chase the winter blues away! Stop in and check out the great selection of items available at the Spring Valley library and participate in the Hot Reads for Cold Nights adult winter reading program. One can also win some great prizes for participating in the program and have a little fun at the same time.

Prizes will be awarded to library patrons at the conclusion of the program on March 15. Entries for prizes will be awarded as follows:

• One entry per checkout receipt.

• Find the magic snowflake that is hidden somewhere on the library shelves and receive a bonus entry. (Don't be slow; it might melt!)

• Stop in and polish up your golf strokes for this summer and try your luck at "Snow Golf!" A bonus entry will be awarded.

• There should be "snow" reason to be bored this winter. Learn how to make a "Snow Many Ruffles" scarf at a special fundraiser to be held at the library in March. Watch the local paper for more information.

• Open knitting in the fireplace room of the library on Thursday evenings until 7 p.m. Bring your knitting projects, meet new friends and exchange knitting patterns and ideas.

There's "snow" time like now to chase the winter blues away! "Snow" come on in and join the fun at the Spring Valley Public Library during the Hot Reads for Cold Nights adult winter reading program.
