A man was arrested Thursday, June 5, on suspected narcotics charges after a search warrant was executed by Fillmore County sheriff's deputies and members of the Southeastern Minnesota Narcotics and Gang Task Force in Rushford Village south of the city of Rushford.
According to Fillmore County Sheriff Daryl Jensen, officers executed the search warrant at 30375 Sherwood Drive just after 7 a.m. Thursday. Jensen said officers found suspected methamphetamines, along with materials for weighing and packaging the drug in the home.
John Loveless, 55, was arrested and transported to the Fillmore County Jail. Loveless appeared in Fillmore County District Court Thursday afternoon on a charge of fourth degree possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell it.
Unconditional bail was set at $20,000. Loveless was released on his own recognizance with conditions.
"This has been an ongoing investigation that originated from assistance from the public," said Jensen. "Much of what we do is with help from the citizens and it's very much appreciated."
