FFA members place in University of Minnesota Invitational

Spring Valley-Wykoff FFA members competed at the University of Minnesota Invitational that took place on Dec. 12. Each group placed in the tournament, but several of the 14 participants placed in two different categories.
The Farm Management team consisting of Derek Clement, Erica Earley, Tyler Kappers and Adam Buchholtz finished seventh overall at the tournament.
In the Job Interview Career Development Event, Hannah Frank placed first in her group.
Valerie Earley, Dane Gillespie and Hannah Frank formed the Nursery and Landscape team and ranked second overall in the Invitational.
Displaying her talent for public speaking, Valerie Earley pulled ahead to take second place in her competition for Prepared Public Speaking.
The Small Animals team consisting of Heather Apenhorst, Danielle Schultz, Stephanie Miner, Gretchen Corson, Ericka Kolden and Courtney Fate also competed and placed in this year's Invitational.
