More than 180 total FFA members from across the state met at the Deep Portage Conservation Reserve in Hackensack, Minn., to attend the conference. From the Spring Valley-Wykoff FFA chapter, Hannah Frank and Dane Gilespie attended the four-day conference.
Student, chapter and community development were the focus of the conference as FFA members worked to develop programs and opportunities to ensure achievement in their local programs and enhance FFA experience. Sessions were presented by the 14 Minnesota FFA state officers on topics such as healthy lifestyles, recruitment, public relations, fundraising and community service.
FFA members participated in hands-on activities, role-playing, and applying personal experiences to better understand professional practices. In addition to developing these essential skills, chapter leaders had the chance to meet FFA members from across the state of Minnesota.
