Bretta Grabau, daughter of Randy and Wendy Grabau of Spring Valley, will be participating in the Northwestern College Women's Chorale 2013 Spring Tour.

Grabau is a 2009 graduate of Christian Heritage High School and is currently a senior pursuing a degree in history at Northwestern College, a private Christian liberal arts college in St. Paul.

The Northwestern College Women's Chorale, directed by Dr. Mary Kay Geston, will tour and perform April 25 to 28 in St. Paul, Rochester and New Brighton, Minn., returning for its Homecoming Concert, shared with the Varsity Men's Chorus, on Tuesday, April 30, at 7:30 in Maranatha Hall on the Northwestern College campus.

The choir kicks off its tour by singing in chapel for the student body of Concordia Academy, St. Paul, and will then travel to Rochester for outreach concerts in Lourdes Chapel at Assisi Heights and Saint Marys Chapel at Saint Marys Hospital, part of Mayo Clinic. The choir will perform sacred and secular music about nature and the beauty of the earth, including The Prayer of St. Francis, an arrangement by Minnesota composer René Clausen that was commissioned by and for the Women's Chorale, as well as two Shaker songs, an African-American spiritual, and folksongs from Scandinavia, Estonia, and British Columbia. The choir will visit a working dairy farm before returning, and will sing at two worship services at Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton, Minn., Sunday, April 28.
