Sandwiched between a pair of losses to Caledonia (99-76) and Winona Cotter (48-36) was a win over Pine Island (56-51). The Knights are now 5-12 for the season, 4-8 in the Three Rivers Conference.

Senior Marshall Oeltjen stepped up against the Panthers with 21 points, hitting seven of 14 from the field and seven of 10 at the free throw line. He also tied for team high with seven rebounds. Freshman Quinn Larson also pulled down seven boards. Junior Lenny Moore was also in double-figures with 13 points. Moore hit five of seven field goals. He turned in a fine floor game with seven steals and five assists. Sophomore Marcus Plaehn added nine points and four rebounds.

The team hit one of 14 from three-point range in the win and was 19 for 30 at the free throw line.

In the loss to the Winona Cotter Ramblers this past Saturday, Marshall Oeltjen had a fine game with 17 points and nine rebounds. Only four Knights scored in the loss to Cotter: Quinn Larson 9, Marcus Plaehn 8 and Lenny Moore 2. Thanks to the Winona Daily News for the scoring information.

This week the Knights host Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Tuesday and travel to St. Charles on Friday night. Only four weeks of the regular season remain until the playoffs start.
