This past week the Kingsland boys picked up three wins and are now 17-7 on the season, 14-4 in the Three Rivers Conference. At 14-4, the Knights are tied for second with Rushford-Peterson. Plainview-Elgin-Millville is on top in the TRC with a 16-2 record.

Monday night the guys beat Chatfield 55-53 in a thriller. Devin Pokorney put back an offensive rebound at the buzzer for the win. Tuesday the Knights beat Wabasha-Kellogg, 67-49, and then on Thursday they completed the "hat trick" with a 75-39 win over Dover-Eyota.

In the win over the Gophers, there were eight ties in the game: 2-2, 40-40, 42-42, 44-44, 47-47, 49-49, 51-51 and 53-53. Tanner Lange had a big game for Kingsland, knocking down eight field goals and connecting on eight of 11 free throws, for 24 points. Kingsland won the game at the free throw line, hitting 14 of 17 to Chatfield's 1/4. Sam Eberle was also in double-figures with 10. The final buzzer sounded when Pokorney's put-back was going through the net.

Kingsland led at halftime, 32-27.

Scoring vs. Chatfield...Soren Grandall (2), Tanner Lange (24), Sam Eberle (10), Spencer Klevan (8), Devin Pokorney (8), Josh Thompson (3).

Lange poured in 30 points against Wabasha-Kellogg in Tuesday night's win over the Falcons. Klevan added 17 and Pokorney contributed 11.

Kingsland was only up 30-28 at the intermission.

Also scoring for the Knights were Grandall (1), Marshall Oeltjen (2) and Eberle (6).

Kingsland finished the week's "sweep" with the win over Dover-Eyota. Lange had another big game, scoring 27 points, dishing out eight assists and coming up with six steals. Klevan (12) and Pokorney (11) were also in double-figures. Klevan pulled down a team high eight rebounds against the Eagles.

Kingsland led at halftime, 40-15. The Knights continued their good free throw shooting, hitting 20 of 24 against D-E.

Also scoring for the Knights against D-E: Grandall (2), Oeltjen (4), Eberle (7), Josh Thompson (7) and Filip Swanson (5).

The boys wrap up their regular season this week with two home games: Southland on Tuesday and Rushford-Peterson, Thursday. Sub-section play begins Thursday, March 1
