Boys win two of three to even conference record

This past week the Knights picked up a pair of Three Rivers Conference wins against Wabasha-Kellogg (49-43) and Dover-Eyota (54-53), evening their TRC record at 4-4. The week started with a non-conference loss to No. 6 ranked Byron, 64-27.

In the loss to the Bears, freshman Quinn Larson had eight points to lead the team in scoring. Marshall Oeltjen contributed five and Lenny Moore and Filip Swanson each had four. Jacob Rindels and Marcus Plaehn each had three-pointers and finished the night with three points. Swanson had a team high six rebounds and Oeltjen had a team high three steals.
Kingsland only had 31 field goal attempts, but held the state ranked Bears to just 40 shots.

In the TRC win over Wabasha-Kellogg, Marshall Oeltjen (12) and Lenny Moore (10) were both in double-figure scoring. Oeltjen completed the double-double with 13 rebounds. Marcus Plaehn had a team high 15 rebounds, 14 on the defensive end of the floor.
Jordan Meskill got back into the scoring routine with eight and Quinn Larson contributed seven. Jacob Rindels, Plaehn, and Filip Swanson each tallied four points. Meskill hit two of three from three-point range. Larson and Moore also had field goals from 'beyond the arc'.
Lenny Moore dished out a team high nine assists.

No information was available on the win over Dover-Eyota.
Monday night the guys hosted Southland (7-1, 10-3), Tuesday they entertained Rushford-Peterson (7-2, 10-2) and Friday they will travel to Fillmore Central (1-7, 2-9).
