"We took care of the ball on offense and played a good defensive game," said coach John Fenske. "We went from -7 on turnovers last week to a +1 this week. A great improvement!"

Lenny Moore was the workhorse on offense, carrying the ball 25 times for a net 145 yards and two touchdowns. Moore got his TDs in the first (five-yard run) and second (seven-yard run) quarters.

Jacob Rindels also had a good offensive night, rushing for 56 yards (12 carries) and passing for another 33 yards. He rushed for a score, caught a two-point conversion and passed for a two-pointer. Ethan Cronk had 35 yards on eight carries. Jordan Meskill had one carry (-4) and Jordan Kohn had two carries (-6).

Passing yards were received by Quinn Larson (18), Ethan Cronk (15) and Meskill (15).

Defensively, Ethan Cronk had four tackles for losses/sacks. Getting one sack/loss tackles were Jacob Rindels, Tyler Messner, Jordan Kohn, Jordan Meskill and Justin Kraling. Quinn Larson recovered a Wabasha-Kellogg fumble. The Kingsland defense held W-K to 150 yards of offense: 116 yards on the ground and 34 yards in the air. Individually, Jordan Meskill had six assisted tackles . As a team, the Knights had nine tackles for a net loss of 50 yards.

The special teams also played well. DJ Smith had two punts, averaging 42.0 yards/kick. Kickoff returners were Jordan Meskill (1/21 yards) and Lenny Moore (1/36 yards).

Kingsland took a 22-2 lead into second half. The Falcons scored their only touchdown in the third quarter.

Kingsland had scoring drives of 52 yards (seven plays, 3:08), 47 yards (five plays, 2:22) and 77 yards (12 plays, 5:16).

Next week the Knights (1-1) finish off their non-conference schedule at Lewiston-Altura (3-0).
