Gals even record; at No. 8 D-E Thursday night

The Lady Knights got a Three Rivers Conference win over Lewiston-Altura, 60-46, giving the team a record of 4-4 in the conference, and 6-6 overall.

"The girls got a great win over Lewiston-Altura," said coach Jill Thalmann. "It was a great team effort with everybody making a contribution."
After a sluggish start, Melinda Woods got the offense going with a couple of three's. Woods finished the night with a dozen points, including three for seven from beyond the arc. She also hit three of four at the charity line.
Senior Lizzie Tart led the team with 19 points, hitting six of 13 from the field and seven of ten at the line. She added to her fine game with eight rebounds, four steals and three assists. Senior Cheyenne Losey had her fourth double-double of the season, pulling down 11 rebounds and scoring 12 points. She also had six steals, tied for team high, and a team high four assists.
Jessi Kaster had a nice floor game with four rebounds and six steals. Kingsland had 24 steals against the Cardinals. Haley Colton contributed seven points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists. Jamie Thompson came off the bench and hit two buckets for four points. Senior Brittany Erding scored her first point of the season, hitting one of two from the charity stripe.
Monday night the team hosted Wabasha-Kellogg and Thursday they will travel to Dover-Eyota to take on the No. 8 ranked (AA) Eagles (13-0).
