The boys lost to Lewiston-Altura in basketball last Thursday, 63-46. The loss dropped the guys to 2-6 for the season, 2-4 in the Three Rivers Conference.

Senior Marshall Oeltjen led the way with 15 points and six rebounds. Oeltjen hit four of seven shots from the field and was seven for nine at the free throw line. He also had two blocked shots.

Junior Lenny Moore had an "OK" game, scoring eight points and dishing out seven assists. Moore connected on two of five shots from beyond the arc. Sophomore Marcus Plaehn also had eight points and pulled down a team high seven boards. Julius Wolf was three for four from the field for six points, Jordan Meskill had a three-pointer and a free throw for five points and De'Angilo Funches hit a "three" and a free throw for four points.

Absent from the scoring column for the Knights were Jacob Rindels, who is averaging 8.0 points/game, Quinn Larson(5.9 ppg) and Filip Swanson (5.5 ppg).

The Knights committed 23 turnovers in the TRC contest.

This past Monday night, Kingsland traveled to Byron to take on the No. 7 rated Bears. Capping off the three-game week, the boys traveled to Wabasha-Kellogg on Tuesday and play host to Dover-Eyota Thursday night.
