The Kingsland Knights dropped to 0-1 in the Three Rivers-South and 1-3, overall, after suffering a 46-12 loss to Rushford-Peterson last Friday night.

While the score looks quite lopsided, offensive yards tell a different story. Kingsland had 51 yards in passing, compared to just 28 yards for the Trojans. In the rushing department, Kingsland came up with 179 yards, while R-P was at 271 yards.

Total yards favored Rushford-Peterson, 299 yards to 230 yards.

Stat leaders for the Knights: Marshall Oeltjen, 15 carries, 56 yards; Jacob Rindels, 8/18 passing, 51 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions; Jordan Kohn, two catches, 18 yards, one yard touchdown run and one 12 yard pass for a touchdown.

Friday night the Knights (1-3) will host the Southland Rebels (2-2). Kingsland's win came against Wabasha-Kellogg, with the losses to Sleepy Eye, Lewiston-Altura and Rushford-Peterson. Southland has wins over St. Charles and Dover-Eyota and has suffered losses to Plainview-Elgin-Millville and Chatfield.
