Senior Lucas Roe is off to the state wrestling tournament after winning the section at 152 lbs. Roe went 4-0 in the tournament last weekend, winning his four matches with a pin in 12 seconds, an 11-1 decision, a 1-0 decision in the semi-finals and a pin over Jake Swindel (Cal/H/SG), 4:27, in the championship match.

Lucas, who's currently 38-2 for the season, will meet Carter Barnes (junior, 28-14), of Monticello. The AA individuals start their wrestling at 9 a.m. on Friday. Coverage of the southeast Minnesota wrestlers can be heard on KFIL-FM (103.1), beginning at about 9 a.m.

Wyatt Richardson finished third at the section meet, losing a bid for the state tournament in a true second match. Richardson, wrestling at 182, went 3-2 in the tournament.

Other Bulldog wrestlers that received medals at the Section 1AA tournament were Jace Bunne (sophomore, fourth, 3-2 record), Parker Hale (freshman, fourth,2-2) and Blake Olson (sophomore, sixth, 1-3).

The other wrestlers for GMLOK and their records in the section tournament were: Ben Olson (106, eighth, 0-2), Josh Graves (seventh, 113, 0-2), Sam Roe (sophomore, 145, 2-2), Brandon Turner (eighth, 160, 0-2) and Blake Benson (eighth, 195, 1-2).
