If the snow stays away, and we don't get any other inclement weather, the GMLOK Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play seven softball games this week: Monday, double-header at R-P; Tuesday, double-header with PEM; Friday, double-header at Southland; and Saturday, solo game with Byron, at home.

Last week the gals lost a double-header to Spring Grove/Caledonia, 9-0 and 12-2.

In the 9-0 loss, GMLOK couldn't come up with any offense, scoring zero runs on zero hits. Jamie Stevens pitched the entire game, giving up six hits and striking out two.

The second game was better, offensively, as the gals came up with a pair of runs on seven hits. Leading the way were Brittany Erding and Kaylee Beevers, each going two-for-three at the plate. Also collecting hits were Hannah Corson, Shelby Erding and Courtney Schmidt. Schmidt and Kailynn Hamersma scored the runs, while Brittany Erding had both RBI.

On the mound Alayna Meskill pitched four innings, giving up five hits and striking out three. Kailynn Hamersma went two innings, allowing three hits and striking out one.

The gals also suffered a 13-8 loss to Wabasha-Kellogg. The Bulldogs put together some offense, getting two hits each from Brittany Erding, Haley Colton and Courtney Schmidt. Jamie Stevens and Rialie Fenske also got base hits for the team.

Scoring the runs were Schmidt (3), Colton (2), Hamersma (2) and Brittany Erding. Getting the RBI were Brittany Erding, Colton (2) and Fenske.

Pitching were Hamersma (2.0), Stevens (1.0) and Meskill (3.0).

The Lady Bulldogs are now 0-6 in the Three Rivers-South and 1-7 overall.
