Last Tuesday the Kingsland volleyball team hosted Caledonia in a Three Rivers Conference match, and lost to the Warriors, 3-0: 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

As a team, the Lady Knights only missed one serve, but only had 28 total: Cheyenne Losey (5/5), Jessi Kaster (5/5), Lizzie Tart (5/6), Mikaylah Hellickson (4/4), Brianna Musel (2/2), Haley Colton (1/1) and Gabriel Drees (5/5). Losey had the only ace serve.

In the attack department, Jessi Kaster had six kills and hit .357 and Cheyenne Losey had five kills. As a team, Kingsland had 15 kills, 15 hitting errors and 44 attacks, for a hitting efficiency of .000. Losey had a pair of ace blocks and Kaster contributed one.

"Our front row did a great job at getting our block up, but the rest of our defense just wasn't getting to their positions quickly enough," said coach Lisa Kimball. "As a whole, our communication is much better and we are playing more as a team."

Defensively, Gabriel Drees had 12 digs and was 16/26 in serve receive (SR). Lizzie Tart had five digs and Jessi Kaster picked up four. Kaster was also 11/17 in SR. Rialie Fenske was 6/15 in SR.

This week the girls hosted Fillmore Central in a non-conference match on Tuesday and will travel to Rushford-Peterson on Thursday. Saturday the Knights are in the tough Byron Tournament.
